A new beginning..

Well, I'd never thought that I would ever start blogging. I guess people do change after all.. =)

Today marks a new beginning - 2nd semester in chemical engineering.
Everything's pretty much the same except that we don't have any lectures till 6pm as compared to the 1st semester. Cheers. :D

I started off the day with a rather awkward fashion - waking up late for the 1st lecture.. o__O
Well, its not that I take pride in being late for lectures and, I have a reason. After having sleeping irregularities throughtout the 1st semester (u don't wanna know, trust me..), I've been having troubles sleeping in what we call "normal sleeping hours". Its like I'm trying to sleep, but, my system is still running on US time. =__=" And believe me when I say this, having a 1 week break doesn't help. I mean shouldn't semester breaks be longer or something? It should've been at least 2 weeks (Most of my coursemates are saying and agreeing on this). 2 weeks would've done a whole lot of good. At least for sleeping that is.. :P

Putting my holidays aside and back to today's events - I was rushing to campus (since I was late >_<) and I found most of my coursemates sitting and chatting outside the campus nonchalantly. To my greatest relief, class was cancelled as the lecturer forgot to prepare the lecture slides. :D
To make things better, this is the worst lecturer I have (openly recognized by his fellow students). No offense to my lecturer, (but, your lectures sucks. BIG TIME.)

Since class was cancelled, most of us went to play/watch people play pool, while I had nasi lemak for breakfast. :D After wasting 2 hours of free time, it was back to lectures. In this semester, Abdul Kareem is teaching us Modelling Concepts and Tools, replacing our previous lecturer who left. Everything was pretty much the same except that there were new rules -

1.) For those who are late for class (10 mins after the lecture starts), will not be able to attend his lecture and will be considered absent. o___O

2.) Should u interupt the class, u will be given warnings initially, and will be asked to leave the class if u continue to disrupt the class. (the lecturer will not resume his lecture until that person leaves the lecture hall) :O

3.) All students will not be allowed to enter the lecture hall after the 11th minute of our break. Moreover, u will be considered absent even if you have attended his lecture before the break(since our lectures are 2 hours long, we will have a ten minute break in between).

According to our lecturer, these rules are introduced as some students encouraged him to "not treat us so nice" as writtten in the course survey forms. As a side note for those who encouraged him to "not treat us so nice", u people are freaking ungrateful and inconsiderate. People are treating u nicely and u complain?!! Are u living in your own world of misery and hatred or sumthin?! Go get a life man.

The last class was with a new subject and a new lecturer, Dr Edwin. Was a bit heavy (although the lecture was for about less than an hour). I was and still is a little confused about a few things, but I guess that's engineering. :P

I guess this pretty much sums up everything that happend today. Cheers to Life. :D
